FoxPeek Privacy Policy
FoxPeek (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) recognizes the importance of your personal information and is committed to protecting it. Please read and understand this Privacy Policy carefully before using the App. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please stop using the App and its related services.
1. Main Features We Provide
The App is primarily designed to help you view and analyze device-related information, including but not limited to:
- Importing and parsing diagnostic files such as sysdiagnose and Analytics files;
- Analyzing specifications or component information such as the device model, system version, storage capacity, memory, storage, display, battery, and cameras;
- Generating local device specification reports, battery health reports, and history records; and
- Saving report images, sharing reports, viewing guides, submitting feedback, and providing basic analytics.
2. How We Collect and Use Information
We follow the principles of lawfulness, fairness, necessity, and data minimization, and process information only to the extent necessary to provide the App’s features.
2.1 Device and Diagnostic File Information
When you choose to import a sysdiagnose, Analytics, or other diagnostic file, the App may parse information relevant to device analysis from that file, including the device model, system version, regional variant, storage capacity, memory information, storage information, display information, battery information, camera information, logic board serial number, component serial numbers, and report generation time.
This information is used only to display device analysis results, generate local reports, save history records, help you assess component information, or troubleshoot issues. We seek to avoid collecting information unrelated to the App’s functions. For potentially identifying information such as serial numbers, the App may reduce privacy risks by masking the information, displaying a prompt before copying, or allowing you to choose whether to show the complete information.
2.2 Local Reports and History
To make future access easier, the App may store device specification reports, battery analysis reports, import records, analysis times, device models, and related information locally on your device. Unless you choose to share, submit feedback, back up, upload, or use a service that requires an internet connection, these reports and history records remain on your device by default.
2.3 Purchases, Memberships, and Advertising
As of the date this Policy was updated, the App does not offer memberships, subscriptions, in-app purchases, or advertising features. Therefore, we do not collect personal information for membership purchases, subscription restoration, ad delivery, or advertising attribution.
If the App adds membership, purchase, or advertising features in the future, we will explain the applicable information-processing rules through in-app notices, updates to this Privacy Policy, permission descriptions, or other appropriate means before or when those features are introduced, and will obtain any authorization or consent required by law.
2.4 Feedback, Support, and Troubleshooting Information
When you contact us through in-app feedback, email, an App Store support page, or another channel, we may collect the contact details, issue description, screenshots, screen recordings, logs, or related diagnostic information that you voluntarily provide. We use this information to investigate issues, respond to inquiries, and improve the product experience. Please avoid including sensitive personal information unrelated to your issue.
2.5 Analytics and Crash Logs
To maintain stable operation, understand feature usage, investigate crashes, improve the product experience, and provide basic anti-fraud capabilities, the App integrates the Umeng+ SDK. Depending on the SDK’s capabilities, your device system, system permission settings, and your authorization choices, the Umeng+ SDK may collect device information, device identifier information, network information, app operation information, app launch and usage information, page visits, feature interactions, crash logs, and approximate location information.
Device information may include the device model, system version, app version, device MAC address, or other hardware information. Device identifier information may include IMEI, MAC address, Android ID, IDFA, OPENUDID, GUID, and SIM card IMSI information. Because the App is an iOS app, the information actually collected is limited by iOS rules, App permissions, Apple’s privacy policies, and the SDK capabilities integrated into the App. The list above does not mean that every field is collected by the App.
The Umeng+ SDK uses this information primarily for analytics, crash analysis, report data calibration, device recognition, basic anti-fraud, and product experience improvement. You may change the scope of your authorization at any time in your mobile device’s system settings. After you disable a permission, the Umeng platform will no longer be able to access the personal information associated with that permission, but this generally will not affect core services such as local device analysis and report viewing.
We do not use the Umeng+ SDK to actively collect the contents of sysdiagnose or Analytics files that you import, nor do we actively upload your local device specification reports, component serial numbers, logic board serial numbers, battery report contents, or imported diagnostic files. Information used for analytics is generally anonymized, de-identified, or aggregated. For more information, see the Umeng Privacy Policy at https://www.umeng.com/page/policy.
3. System Permissions the App May Request
The App may request the following permissions when required by a specific feature. You may deny or disable a permission, but some features may then be unavailable.
| Permission | Purpose | Effect of Denying or Disabling |
|---|---|---|
| File Access / File Import | Used to import sysdiagnose, Analytics, and other diagnostic files from the Files app, the system share sheet, or other sources for local parsing. | You will be unable to import diagnostic files, and related device or battery analysis features may be unavailable. |
| Photos / Add to Photos | Used to save device reports, analysis result images, or shareable images to the system photo library when you request it. | You will be unable to save report images to Photos, but you can still view analysis results. |
| Network Access | Used to load guides, submit feedback, obtain necessary service configuration, support Umeng+ SDK analytics and crash reporting, calibrate report data, provide basic anti-fraud, and improve the product experience. | Feedback, guide loading, analytics, crash reporting, report calibration, or some online services may be unavailable. Core local features, such as importing diagnostic files and viewing analysis results, will not be affected. |
| Notifications (if applicable) | Used to send feature reminders, service notices, or important update notifications. | You will not receive related notifications, but core analysis features will not be affected. |
The App does not access the entire contents of your photo library without authorization. It uses the relevant capability only when you choose to save, import, or share content.
4. How We Use Information
We may use collected information to:
- Provide core features such as device specification analysis, battery health analysis, component identification, report generation, and history records;
- Save your local reports and feature settings;
- Use the Umeng+ SDK to analyze app operation and feature usage, assess crash stability, calibrate report data, and provide basic anti-fraud;
- Investigate app crashes, abnormal imports, parsing failures, or compatibility issues;
- Improve the product interface, feature experience, and guide content; and
- Comply with laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, or dispute-resolution obligations.
5. Third-Party Services and Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties. The App currently integrates the Umeng+ SDK for analytics, crash investigation, report data calibration, basic anti-fraud, and feature improvement. We share only the information necessary to provide these functions and require the relevant service providers to protect your information in accordance with applicable laws and this Policy.
| Third-Party SDK / Service | Purpose | Types of Information That May Be Collected |
|---|---|---|
| Umeng+ SDK | App analytics, feature usage analysis, crash and stability analysis, report data calibration, basic anti-fraud, and product experience improvement. | Device information; device identifier information such as IDFA, OPENUDID, and GUID, depending on the system, permissions, and SDK capabilities; network information; app operation information; approximate location information; page visits; feature interactions; crash logs; and similar information. Umeng’s official documentation may also list cross-platform fields such as IMEI, MAC address, Android ID, and SIM card IMSI. Because the App is an iOS app, the information actually collected depends on iOS rules, your authorization status, and the SDK capabilities integrated into the App. |
For more information, see the Umeng Privacy Policy at https://www.umeng.com/page/policy.
As of the date this Policy was updated, the App does not integrate an advertising SDK and does not offer memberships, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. If we later integrate a new third-party SDK, advertising service, membership purchase, or payment capability, we will update this Policy based on the actual integration and, where necessary, explain the change through an in-app notice or another appropriate method.
6. How We Store and Protect Information
We take reasonable security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, alteration, damage, or loss. We seek to store locally generated reports, history records, and settings on your device and may apply encryption, masking, or access restrictions as appropriate for the relevant feature.
Unless otherwise required by law or necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, we retain your information only for the shortest period needed to achieve those purposes. You may also use features provided in the App to delete local reports or history records.
